How can I apply for a Bank account with RBS and what documents are required? |

You may walk into any of our branches with the following documents to open an account with RBS.

Original Passport with valid visa (required for sighting and will be returned immediately. The Bank may take a photocopy for our records) |

Can I open a joint account with my spouse? |

Yes, you can open a joint account with your spouse by submitting the following documents:

Original Passport of both applicants with valid visas (required for sighting and will be returned immediately. The Bank may take a photocopy for our records) |

Latest utility bill or tenancy contract applicable to both applicants |
| 3 |
Proof of funds (for example, a salary certificate if one of the applicant's salary will be credited into the joint account). |

An original account opening form and a joint-account holder form, duly completed and signed by both applicants. |

How frequently do I receive my account statements? |
| |
Paper Account statements are issued and sent on a quarterly basis to a customers' mailing address in our records. You can also access your account transaction details through our E-banking facility at any time or call our Non-Stop Banking number on +971-4-4266000 to request for a fax copy of your statements.
The Bank will be introducing e-mail statements, which will be delivered to your e-mail address on a quarterly basis. Please note that after the introduction of the quarterly E-Statements, if a customer wishes to revert to paper statements, the frequency of the paper statement may change to twice a year. |

Can I close my bank account through Phone Banking or E-Banking services? |

Your account closure request can not be processed through Phone Banking or E-Banking services. In order to close your account, you should submit an original request form at any of our branches or service centres. In the event you are out of the country, you may send an original request, duly signed, to the Bank by courier. Please note that in case of Joint Accounts, both account-holders must provide original signature. |

Can Non residents open accounts with RBS? |

Non-residents can open a savings account in AED with the Bank (without cheque facility), at the sole discretion of the Bank, by submitting the following original documents:

What is the cash withdrawal limit on RBS ATM Machines? |

You can withdraw up to AED 10,000 per day on RBS ATM machines. The Bank continuously reviews this limit based on studying the market conditions and any risk alerts. The Bank reserves the right to change the withdrawal limit without prior notice. |

How can I apply for a Fixed Deposit? |

You may walk into any of our branches or log into our E-banking service to open a fixed deposit account. The minimum amount required to open a fixed deposit account is AED 25,000. |

How can I break my existing Fixed deposit with the Bank? |

Fixed deposit withdrawal instructions can be given through E-banking or by visiting the nearest branch to break or uplift your existing fixed deposit. Please note that there will be a percentage of deduction when you uplift or break your fixed deposits before the maturity date. |
