You can apply for an RBS Credit Card by completing an online application form available at www.rbsbank.ae. Upon submission of the form, your application will be processed. You will thereafter be contacted by our agents with regard to the status of the application. |

How long does the Credit Card application process take? |

You will receive your RBS Credit Card 15 days from the date of submission of your application. However, this is subject to the completion of all documentation and formalities required by the Bank, as part of the application and approval process. |

What is the credit limit offered on RBS Credit Cards? |

The credit limit on our Credit Cards is assigned in accordance with the Bank's internal risk policy and credit policy and varies from time to time. An increase in the credit limit can be requested after 6 months from the optimum usage of the card and/or an increase in your income. The Bank reserves the right to request proof of an increase in your income. |

What is a cash advance and what are the charges applicable on cash advances? |

A cardholder may obtain a cash advance if there is adequate credit on the card. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more details. The Bank charges a service fee's for cash advances and such fee's will be billed in the subsequent statement of a cardholder. What is a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and what is it used for? |

Personal identification Number is a unique secure number restricted to one card only, to be used by the customer when making ATM transactions. This number should not be revealed to any one by the customer for security reasons. |

What do I have to do if I have forgotten my PIN? |

You can contact our Non-Stop Banking Centre number +971-4-4266000 and have your PIN re-issued. However, due to security reasons, both the Credit Card and the PIN will be re-issued by the Bank, at a charge. What do I have to do if I have forgotten my PIN and I need cash on an urgent basis? |

You can visit any of our branches and withdraw cash from the bank tellers. Our branches are open from 08:00 AM to 03:00 PM from Saturday to Thursday. Withdrawals from the tellers will be done through a manual authorization for which a proof of identification (such as passport, UAE Id card or labour card) is required. However, this facility is only available at our branches and not at any of our service centers. Cash advance charges shall be applicable. |

How do I make payments towards my RBS Credit Card bill? |

You can make payments towards your RBS Credit Card through different channels. The following is the list of options provided for your convenience.

Free Auto debit Instructions: Auto debit facility allows cardholders to make payments towards their card dues on an automatic basis on the respective payment due dates by debiting their current or savings accounts maintained with the Bank. This offer is limited to customers holding a bank account with RBS |

Cash Deposit Machines (CDM) by Cash or Cheque - For payments by cheque, please ensure that you deposit the cheque into our CDM at least 5 working days before the payment due date, in order to allow sufficient time for the cheque to clear. If the payment is cleared by your Drawee Bank after the due date, a late payment fee and other bank charges may apply. |

How can I control the use of my supplementary Credit Card? |

RBS Credit Cards offers you the option of sharing your total credit limit with your supplementary card or the option to go ahead and set a separate spending limit on your supplementary card which allows you to control the usage. Once the Supplementary cardholder reaches the credit limit of his/her supplementary card during a billing period, the limit becomes available for use only after the next statement is generated (i.e. on the date of generation of next statement). The credit limit of a supplementary cardholder is part of the total limit assigned to the primary cardholder. |

How are the rewards accumulated and redeemed on a supplementary card? |

A supplementary cardholder can accumulate 1 point for every AED 1 spent on the card. However, the redemption of the reward points can only be done by the primary cardholder. |

Yes, your RBS Credit Card comes preactivated with a robust insurance plan "Smart Protection" through Oman Insurance. In addition to Smart Protection, you can also apply for other optional insurance facilities such as Life Assure, Home Assure, Fem Assure, and many more. How is the Credit Shield (Smart Protection) calculated? |

Smart Protection is a credit shield insurance program that insures the payment of the credit outstanding in certain unforeseen events such as the death, permanent total disablement, critical illness or involuntary loss of employment of the primary cardholder or the misuse of the card due to theft. How can I change my Credit Card Billing Cycle? |

The billing cycle date can be changed by visiting our branches, calling our Non-Stop Banking Centre number +971-4-4266000 or sending a fax to us on 04-3555684 ONLY after you have made the minimum payment due on your latest Credit Card statement. The billing cycle change is, however, subject to availability of dates and slots. As a result of change of billing cycle, the customers running an installment plan will be billed with two installments together in the statement subsequent to the billing cycle change, due to an increased cycle period. |

How does interest get charged on RBS Credit Cards? |

In the event you revolve your credit, interest will be charged from the date of purchase until the date of payment and/or statement generation. Cardholders making full payment of the total outstanding balance (as set out in your latest credit card statement) before the payment due date are exempted from interest charges. The waiver of interest charges does not apply to cash withdrawal transactions. |

Will I be charges any fees if I use my Credit Card above its credit limit? |
